EU international trade registers a surplus of 14.8 billion

International trade in goods in the European Union with the rest of the world was 14.8 billion euros last June. Compared to 20 billion in June 2020, as reported by the community statistics office, Eurostat . For its part, the eurozone had a surplus of 18.1 billion euros in June. A figure below the 20,000 million of the same month in 2020.

In the EU, merchandise exports reached 188.3 billion euros in June 2021, 22.3% more than in June 2020. While imports Phone Number List amounted to 173.5 billion euros, 29.6% more than in June 2020. In the euro zone, exports of goods amounted to 209.9 billion euros in June. An increase of 23.8% compared to June 2020, according to the first estimates from Eurostat.

Imports amounted to 191.8 billion euros, an increase of 28.2% compared to June of last year . Eurozone trade increased to €188 billion in June 2021, 24.6% more than in June 2020.

By country, in June 2021, compared to June 2020, all Member States recorded a strong increase in extra-EU exports. The most notable were seen in Malta (where they grew by 65.4%), Greece (47.3%) and Cyprus (45.7%).

Regarding imports from outside the EU, all Member States recorded an increase in June compared to the same month of the previous year except Cyprus , where they fell by 18.7%. The sharpest increases were observed in Latvia (88.7%), Slovakia (72.1%) and Estonia (62.4%).
